As it is known, Wang Yi, who is Chinese Foreign Minister, has warned the United States of America to not to try to build what he calls a “Pacific Version” of NATO.

China has warned the United States not to try to believe what it calls the “Pacific Version” NATO. He also declared that the security disputes over Taiwan and Ukraine were “incomparable”.

At his annual news briefing on Monday, China’s Foreign Minister also announced that the “true goal” of the United States of America’ Indo-Pacific strategy is to bring about Asia’s response to the “North Atlantic Treaty Organization”. Besides, China has often blamed the United States for suppressing its growth.

China Warns NATO

Finally, Jens Stoltenberg, at the 6-7 April Foreign Ministers Meeting, pointed out that China refrained from condemning Russia’s operation in Ukraine, and Beijing’s growing influence in NATO’s new security concept and he responded to his remarks, arguing that he should consider the protection of the security of democracies against his oppressive policies.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Cao Licien stated that NATO, as an organization created by the Cold War, has long served for inter-bloc confrontation and is a tool for a country’s hegemony.

Mentioning that NATO has been making cross-border initiatives for a while, Cao stated that it is making a fuss to create a new Cold War confrontation.

NATO Destablıshed Europe

Emphasizing that China is a country that follows the path of peaceful development, and that its development offers opportunities to other countries, not a threat, Cao said, “NATO should immediately stop spreading disinformation and provocative comments targeting China and abandon the confrontation along ideological lines. It must end its efforts to destabilize Turkey and the world.” made its assessment.

Russia Warning from NATO To China

Russia is increasing both its economic and military partnerships with countries such as Iran and China. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the allies agreed that it would be a “historical mistake” for China to provide arms assistance to Russia.

Attacking Ukraine, Russia, on the other hand, intensified its joint military exercises with China in the Asia-Pacific region. It was claimed that after Iran, which supported Russia with Kamikaze UAVs, China would also provide weapon aid. At the end of the two-day NATO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg touched upon the Ukraine war as well as the partnership between China and Russia.

Stating that the short- and long-term military support to Ukraine was discussed in detail at the meeting, Stoltenberg said that the country’s “future lies in NATO”. On the question of when Ukraine will become a member, Stoltenberg noted that this depends on the country being independent and democratic, but now that these criteria are not met as it is under Russian attack.

A Historic Mistake

Stoltenberg stated that they discussed China’s increasing cooperation with Russia at the meeting, which was also attended by partner countries from the Asia-Pacific region.

Stating that China refused to condemn Russia’s aggression, supported its economy, mirrored Russian propaganda, and accelerated the bilateral military activities in the Asia-Pacific region, Stoltenberg said that the allies said that China’s military assistance to Russia would be a “historical mistake” with profound consequences. He stated it was clear.

NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg Pointed China and Warned

Pointing to China, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg addressed the United States and said, “If Russia wins, it would be bad for all of us.” China, on the other hand, described the US targeting Beijing in its nuclear weapons policy as blackmail.

Stoltenberg, in an interview with Politico, one of the leading journalism organizations in the USA, argued that stopping aid sent to Ukraine may lead to the strengthening of China.

Stoltenberg’s statement came after some Republicans demanded that aid sent to Ukraine be cut as the US midterm elections approached. In his statement on Thursday, US President Joe Biden drew attention to the fact that he could stop aid to Kiev if the Republicans gain a majority in the House of Representatives.

Since the war, which began with Putin’s order for a military operation on February 24, Washington has promised more than $17 billion in aid to the Kiev administration.

Balances May Change İn By-Elections.

In the midterm elections to be held on November 8, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate will go to the polls.

While the Democratic Party has 220 seats in the House of Representatives and 212 seats for the Republican Party, the representation of the two parties is equal in the Senate. But with the vote of US Vice President Kamala Harris in the voting, the balance turns in favor of the Democrats.

The loss of the Democratic Party’s majority in the elections, which Biden described as “a battle for the soul of the nation” in his September statement, may make it difficult for the US President to pass the laws he wants in the last two years of his term.

Political analysts, on the other hand, predict that Democrats, who have held the majority in both wings since the presidential elections in 2020, could lose the majority in the House of Representatives to the Republicans, even if they maintain their position in the Senate.

US Nuclear Blackmail Won’t Work on China

Meanwhile, the Pentagon released public versions of three strategic defense documents on Thursday. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that the most important theme in the documents on the country’s nuclear weapons policies is to increase deterrence against China.  China is today the only competitor that has both the intention to change the international order and the strength to do so. So he and his team have been focused on this issue since day one.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on Friday  that US nuclear blackmail will not work on China. Wenbin stated that Beijing is concerned about the developments, arguing that Washington “uses nuclear weapons as a means to achieve its own geopolitical goals”.
